Faculty Mentored Research
IN LSAMP program offers the opportunity for eligible STEM students to participate in a summer research program. Engaging in research has been identified as a key component in successful persistence in undergraduate STEM programs. Research scholars are eligible to receive financial support and funds for research supplies. Campus Directors work closely with eligible LSAMP students and faculty mentors to facilitate a good match.

Early Start Summer Bridge Program: Power into Math
You can enroll in this program for free as an incoming LSAMP-eligible student! Come to campus to take the math placement exam and then work through our math review modules with the assistance of a talented math instructor. Pre-review and post-review tests will be given via Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces (ALEKS), an online artificially intelligent assessment and learning system, ensuring that you get placed in the appropriate level mathematics course to successfully begin your STEM studies at Ball State. You can earn one academic credit for completing this program.
